Frequently Asked Questions

Are you offering in-person or virtual services?

At the moment, all services are offered online. A HIPPA-approved virtual platform is utilized for sessions in order to ensure your privacy. I hope to one day get back to in-person work and will update this form as soon as that’s possible!

In what languages do you provide therapy?

Therapy can be provided in either English or Spanish!

How do I know this will work?

Therapy is an evidence-based practice - meaning that years and years of research have shaped the field and provided proven results and treatment methods. Therapy isn’t just a place to get great advice, it is a space for healing the mind and providing you with actual tools and techniques you put into practice in real life.

As a licensed therapist for over 5 years, I have had several clients that report a reduction in symptoms such as anxiety and depression in just a few months. However, therapy can take as much or as little time as you need it to. It also depends on the effort inside and outside of our sessions to gain effective results. The most important component of therapy is the relationship between client and therapist, so focus on bringing the most authentic version of yourself to each and every session.

What is your therapy style?

There is no “one size fits all” in therapy. That is why I tend to use an eclectic style of psychoanalytic and humanistic therapy, coupled with skill-based therapies such as CBT and DBT. The trauma background that I come from allows me to have a deep understanding of the importance of meeting the client where they are at. We’ll go at your pace, using curiosity as a way to challenge patterns and ideas that may have brought you to seek therapy in the first place.
